Who runs CoSA Lab?
CoSA Lab (cosalab.org) is run by Tommy D. from Sydney, Australia. For privacy questions, use the contact form.
What information does CoSA Lab collect?
- Email address, if you sign up for the weekly brief.
- Messages you send through the contact form, with the name and email address you give.
- Technical data your browser sends when it loads a page, such as your IP address and browser type. Our hosting provider processes this to deliver and protect the site.
CoSA Lab doesn't use analytics tools, advertising trackers or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will name the tool and what it records before it goes live.
How does CoSA Lab use it?
We use your email address only to send the weekly brief, and messages only to reply to you. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who does CoSA Lab share it with?
Only the services that run the site for us:
- Hosting: Cloudflare serves the site and processes request data to deliver and protect it.
- Fonts: pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google.
- Email delivery: contact form messages and the weekly brief are sent through an email delivery service, which handles your address only to deliver the message. This policy will name the service once the brief starts sending.
How long does CoSA Lab keep it?
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, then delete it. We keep contact form messages for up to 12 months after we have dealt with them, then delete them.
What are your choices?
You can unsubscribe from any brief with one click, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you through the contact form. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. If you're unhappy with how we handled a privacy request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Will this policy change?
If this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top of the page.
